Gillian Davison has become the first winner of dressage's Cheshire Crown.
The exciting new competition combined two of Cheshire's principal dressage shows - Somerford Park Premier League and Bolesworth CDI - with the best combined percentage score by horse and rider seeing the crown secured by the winning owner.
And with a score of 140.54 per cent, Gillian, who rides and owns Alfranco, took top honours.
Gilliam's third-placed finish behind winner Carl Hester and runner-up Gareth Hughes at Bolesworth saw her land a prize valued at more than £500, which includes VIP tickets for the grand prix freestyle at Olympia's London International Horse Show in December.
Reflecting on the initiative, British Dressage chairman Penny Pollard said: "I have visited both venues as an owner, and always enjoy the welcome in Cheshire, as well as great facilities for horse and rider.
"It is a terrific idea to give a prize for the owners, as they play such an important role within the sport."
